LIONS VILLAGE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What are the typical costs of a unit?
Our units currently range from approximately $140,000 to $400,000 depending on size and location.
2. If I die before I move out, do you keep my money?
No. If you die before you move out your estate or the person you assign you loan to will get your money.
3. Are we allowed to smoke in our units?
Smoking is only allowed in a tenant’s own suite. All other areas of our buildings are none smoking.
4. What are the monthly common fees and how do they compare to other properties?
Our common fees range from $350.00 to $700.00. Comparable properties can run at $1,000 or more a month and the list of what is covered under it is is not as extensive as ours.
5. In general, what is covered by the common fees we pay each month?
Common fees cover most things, property taxes, electricity, heat etc. Even classic cable is covered. Most tenants only have to pay for parking, high speed internet, content insurance and their phone bill on top of the common fees.
6. Do your buildings have Wi-Fi?
No.
7. What if I'm on a waiting list and you call, but I’m not ready to move?
You just tell us you're not ready and you stay on the list and you don't lose your place place in line.
8. Lions Villages sounds great! How do you make money?
We don't. Lions Villages are a non-profit organization. All of our board of directors are Lions and are volunteers
9. Do you allow pets?
Within certain restrictions our residents can have fish, birds, cats and dogs.
10. What happens if something in my unit breaks like the plumbing, the fridge or even a light bulb?
Fill in a work order and we will arrange to have it fixed.
11. Are there any costs if I move in and move out within a short period of time?
While similar private companies charge upwards of 10%, ours is 3% with a reduction of 1/3 of one percent every year until it reaches 0 after 9 years.
