The money you invested is yours, it will be given to your estate.

WHAT ARE THE MONTHLY COMMON FEES AND HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO OTHER PROPERTIES?

Common fees are monthly payments made by you that cover most things: property taxes, electricity, heat air conditioning, general maintenance and basic cable.  Our common fees range from about $500.00 to $1000.00.  Comparable properties can run at $2,000 or more a month and the list of what is covered is far less.

WHAT IS LIONS VILLAGE OF GREATER EDMONTON SOCIETY?

Lions Village is a non-profit society affiliated with Lions Clubs International that is dedicated to serving seniors.

DO YOU ALLOW PETS?

Within certain restrictions, our residents are allowed to have fish, cats, or dogs.

ARE ANY OF THE FACILITIES DESIGNED FOR ASSISTED LIVING?

 Residents must be able to live independently.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS OVER WHO CAN LIVE

IN A LIONS VILLAGE BUILDING?

All of our residents must be 55 years of age or older and able to live independently. Residents can be under 55 if they are a spouse, identified caregiver or are disabled but are capable of independent living

LIONS VILLAGES SOUNDS GREAT!  HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY?

We don't.  Lions Villages is a non-profit charitable organization. 

All of our board of directors are Lions and are unpaid volunteers

ARE ALL LIFE LEASES THE SAME?

No.  Life leases can vary.  We would advise you to take our or any other lease to a lawyer and have them go over the agreement and explain any parts that are not clear.

WHAT IS TYPICALLY NOT COVERED BY THE MONTHLY FEES?

Items that are not included in the monthly maintenance fees that residents would pay for:

  • telephone

  • parking

  • high-speed internet

  • upgraded cable

  • tenant insurance
